Its a quaint little cheat but isn't that easy to read the cards when held in someones hand. There are simpler and more effective ways of knowing what card someone will be holding. I am yet to find a use for these cards; the marking on them is so subtle it takes considerably practice to work them out.

As per other reviews, these are for tricks rather than cheating. Very easy to learn with the instructions enclosed.
Had my daughter wondering how I guessed her card!!
Very quick delivery, they arrived about 2 day prior to eta.
Very good value for money!!

I like these cards but luckily for your poker playing 'friends' you cannot read the markings from a distance or at speed while dealing. Better for tricks than scamming your pals.

This game is a great alternative for those who like word games. It is much quicker than Scrabble and maybe easier for those who do not have a wide vocabulary of unusual words and it is easier to score extra points using bonus cards. Not only can you use them to add to our own total you can also play them to subtract points from an opponent.

My husband recommended that I write a review for this as we had a brilliant game together with our 6 yr old and Grandad! It is a new take on snakes and ladders - although with the element of risk. Player dares to turn over cards - and it is decided upon the upturned cards whether you move forward or backwards (banana skins are the indication that you move backwards the amount of bananas you have turned over this round). This really is a brilliant game, and actually not too short either. When all the banana skin cards have been found, you mix together all the previously turned over cards and start again, keeping your monkeys in the same position. The game is ultimately about taking risks and learning to evaluate how much chance there is of going backwards, and therefore losing the game. For the record, Grandad won and the 6 yr old came next, leaving Mummy and Daddy a very poor last place shared!!! Brilliant!

Fantastic game for pre-school/reception/KS1 children. My 4 year old loves it and is also gaining skills in adding up scores by counting how many bananas found, as well as thinking about how to avoid banana skins. Game is sturdy and well constructed. One thing I would say is to always ensure all the pieces are picked up afterwards, there's quite a lot of small cards. Highly recommended game.

In this game cards are placed face down. Each banana on the card represents one possible step foward on the path to the tree of victory. Each player decides how many cards he dare turn over on his go. Brave players will keep 'gambling' and continue to turn over cards until they uncover a banana skin, then all those banana cards add up to steps backwards, or they turn over a swamp card and have to stop turning over more cards, but can move forward however many spaces as bananas they have.
So, this game is a wonderfully simple way of pushing counting/adding beyond the usual 6 on a dice, and of extending a go as long as your nerve will hold. It is a great game for children to learn calculated risk taking and is an interesting opportunity to observe which child is a 'risk all go for gold' type and which is cautious.
A brilliantly simple game with an unpredictable outcome that holds the interest of any 3.5 yr old onwards. Very much worth the money.

Unfortunately there is no other choice... spend the money.
After trying other cheaper controllers, I have realised that I was just wasting more time and money.
The official controller may cost more than it should do but at least you don't become frustrated with inferior quality equipment.
